How it works is whenever someone buys anything from amazon after going to amazon.com via my link I get a commission from Amazon.
It’s free to be an affiliate and the tools Amazon provides affiliates are great for teaching you how to promote products in lots of ways.
Try this: Google search plasma tv’s, you’ll find lists of product review websites and a lot link to Amazon.com Tv sales.
It’s just too easy.
As a small business, being an affiliate is such a simple way to boost your income through your existing customers.
For example, if you have a website already why not put a store on there with links to books etc relating to your business.
Another idea is email your customers recommending to them a product you endorse and put your affiliate link in the email.
If you aren’t a business owner already just be aware that you can’t use adwords to direct link to the Amazon website as of May 2009. But… there is no limit to what you can do with webpages, emailing and linking
So now when you find products online that you endorse and recommend to others be sure to look at the product website for their ‘Affiliates’ information which is usually at the bottom of their webpage. (Not all companies have an affiliates program so alternatively you can contact the company or manufacturer directly and ask them if they would be interested in a joint venture with you and arrange a commission split.)
The options are as limited as your imagination… which is unlimited…

in your yahoo or hotmail email account tool bar
or in Outlook Express go to the ‘Insert’ Menu then click ‘Hyperlink’
then paste your big ol’ affiliate link in there and presto, the big ugly link is hidden and looks much neater.

By the way, 1 Giant Leap is two musicians and a camera man that travelled around the world with only some basic beats and songs lyrics, they then met with musicians from over 50 countries and recorded indigenous musicians and mixed all the sounds together to make the most beautiful music.
It’s an amazing production, I love Baaba Maal’s voice (even though I can’t understand a word he’s saying) it’s just so enchanting and soulful.
